Dec 21 2007. I just couldnt be bothered to get out of bed. The words an tune just came into my head - so I grabbed my moble with in built recorder and started singing ..
Couple of hours later I went into my back bedroom studio , grabbed the guitar, sorted out the chords and recorded the first version. Funny enough it was worth getting uo that day after all !!

This song goes back to 1972/3 when I was in an band called Eugene Carnan. I wrote the song with the guitartist Adrian Llewellyn and it became our 'signature' song and always went down a storm at gigs. The unusual feature about the song is the odd timed drum figure in the chorus. After all these years I can play it on a kit ok, but programming the drum track on this version was a nightmare.

'Never Did Find My Dream" - started out as a simple accoustic riff which I had to find words for. I must credit Roger & Hammerstien, Gretchen Peters and Sandy Denny as lyric inspirations. Again I think the title reflects what the song's about. But I am not as depressing as the song makes me out to be haha Guitar solo inspired by Frank Zappa ( I am not worthy !!)
