Our new sax player, Rob Mack, will make his debut with us on 10-2-07 at Bull and Gate. He previously played bass with me and Jeff in The Househunters. Other bands playing with us on the night will be Tuner, Gertrude and Wave Pictures.

Greetings! There are now 4 tracks available to download on this site, to give a preview of the album coming up in New Year 2007. There are 2 from our first session recorded at Toerag studio as a 3-piece band with guests, and 2 more from the recent session as a 5-piece. The track "Venus Big-Foot" features Mick's tiny daughter shrieking along to the chorus, and a friendly android on the intro and outro. Congratulations to anybody who can identify the origin of the title! Clue: they are both geographical references. The same also to anyone who can explain the origin of the band's name! "(Your) Last Servant" also features Zoe on cello, from the amazing band Gertrude!

We finished a 11-track album for release in January / February 2007, by the fine people at Topplers Records in Scotland. They have just released a new compilation featuring one of our ARF songs, "Ravenous Scavengers", plus one of my solo tracks, and a song from a previous band of mine, Olives Hairy Custard.

Greetings, citizens!
We are excited by the imminent release of our first album "arf" on Topplers label, in Scotland. We are currently a 4-piece line-up, with founder-members myself and Lee joined by Jeff (who I knew from Television Personalities) and Marina (who we knew from Long Decline). The album was recorded by previous line-ups of the band, including Mick Frangou (drummer), Nick Smith (bass) and Chloe Herringon (bassoon, alto sax). The songs were specially written by me for the band from the early days of the first 3-piece line-up, in 2001. Titles on the album are: "WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN", VENUS BIG-FOOT", "LAST SERVANT", BUTCHER-SHOP LASSIE", "GUINEA-PIG", "RAVENOUS SCAVENGERS", "DEAD MAN'S SHOES", "FILM BUFF", "KETCHUP MONEY", "NOSTALGIA".
The first 3 of these were on our single released by the Little Teddy label. We will be celebrating the album release in February 2007, with a gig at the Bull and Gate venue in north London.
