I am delighted to say that Mandy Reilly is taking over the reins as vocalist for Bridgefield. Mandy is a pro vocalist of some note and we are totally chuffed that she has decided to pitch in as Bridgefield's front person. Listen to Mandy at http://www.myspace.com/amandareilly. It is quite likely that we will be taking on a second vocalist to cover for Mandy as her weekend solo schedule is packed.

Sadly, Ellie has had to withdraw from Bridgefield due to illness. We are all concerned about her health and wish her a very speedy recovery.

New singer
01/08/2008 13:35:02 By Mart
News is we are talking to Ellie Morgan, an everso good, everso enthusiastic and everso chilled singer from Milton Keynes (although we wont hold that against her). She's got a fkg great voice, all expressive, vibrato, the works. Ellie's ploughing through the material at the moment and we hope to get together with her for full band rehearsal in the next week or two. Fingers crossed we could be up and running again in no time at all. More to follow when it happens. Mart

June/July - BIG NEWS
18/07/2008 08:56:07 By Mart
Apart from playing four gigs in and around London, which were delivered with customary Bridgefield power, we have decided to part company with our long-time vocalist, Tola Lamont. This has happened because of the distance Tola has to travel to rehearse, perform, record etc. She goes with our best wishes. Sooooooooooo, we have a vacancy for a vocalist. Get in touch with me if you're female (ooohhhh, not like that), if you fancy a shot at fronting one of the most powerful rock acts in the south of England, and if you want to swan around performing with 4 terrific chaps like us....we're really very nice you know!!! mart_a_kent@yahoo.com, or bridgefield@bridgefieldmusic.com.
See ya.

Risboro Rocks..and it did
23/06/2008 21:52:55 By Mart
What a great night Risboro Rocks was last Saturday. Zealey and Moore, Lightbox, Dream Capture and Bridgefield all combining to raise some cash for the local kids' football team. Massive, massive sound system, massive lights...if was like playing Glasto in a room 15 metres by 10!!!! Surprised we didn't blow the walls out.
Bridgefield march on to a busy schedule in July...see us next on July 5th at the George Hemel as part of the Herts Air Ambulance Charity bash. We're on early at 6:30pm....dont miss it, the band are really kicking at the moment.
Then we're doing the afternoon of Risboro Town Festival, 12th July, and on Sunday 13th July....its the big one...THE WEEKENDER at the Kings Head Aylesbury.

Our gig at Zulu's in Fulham is now officially off. They have a new management regime that has decided to drop live music on a friday night. Not all bad news though, we are playing the George in Hemel Hempstead on 5th July as a part of their Herts Air Ambulance benefit. See our gig list here for complete details of our tour.
Luv.

23/09/2007 14:18:35 By Mart
Well, it's come and gone, and I've just about managed to find the time to write about it. It was a terrfiic weekend of rock at the Kings Head, Aylesbury, from seven cracking and amazingly diverse bands. Go to our gallery to see the pics...all courtesy of Modent...our Aylesbury-based photog....and we raised £1822 for Kids Company.

Fulham was a blast
29/06/2007 13:29:16 By Mart
Great night last Friday at Zulus at the Kings Head, Fulham...cheers Ian. If you play in a band, get a gig there....it's brilliant. If you don't play in band, go there in any case....it's an indie music lovers paradise. We had a ball. The customary Bridgefield genius greeted by a deliriously excited mosh...some of whom had never seen Bridgefield before.
Spare a thought for Kenny, our drummer, who had to be up at 3:30am next morning for a gig in West Cornwall...S*d dat!!!

Bridgefield have cancelled GJs gig 25th May
21/05/2007 13:40:16 By Mart
Sadly, Bridgefield have had to withdraw from the gig they were to do at GJ's in Colliers Wood. This has been due to a mix of family and work commitments, and latterly discovering when we were supposed to be soundchecking and performing; a schedule that few of the band could possibly have met.
The gig is still going ahead without us, as far as I know, so if you still want to go....hey, it's a free world (apart from the ticket price).

Bridgefield @ GJ's S.W. London 25th May
15/05/2007 11:55:37 By Captain Smartypants
Bridgefield play GJ's in Colliers Wood High Street, SW London on the 25th May. This is a right weird one and I'm not sure what to expect....there are 7 bands on!!! It's a fiver entrance, but at less than a quid a band, it doesn't come much better value than that. We're onstage at about 10:30pm, doors are open at 7pm!!!!

Civic Centre Gig
16/04/2007 17:59:55 By Mart
Saturday at the Civic in Aylesbury was an, errrrmmm, interesting gig. We shared the bill with Bootstrap and mediumDave...and believe you me, it was some bill. All three bands were electric...a great night's entertainment. Unfortunately, the Civic Centre in Aylesbury did zippo promotion and not many people knew the event was happening. So the crowd was a little sparse. No matter, those who went were suitably delirious and a good time was had by all!!!

Here we are...all indiestored up
27/03/2007 13:52:47 By Mart
Here we are then. Bridgefield, Indiestored. Looking around, it looks quite tasty. Good site, loads of facilities and plenty of visitors (making it sound like chokey!!!). What a way to get your new album up and running, totally painless. Almost makes you wonder why anyone bothers with CDs any more. Mind you, we are having one pressed as I type, for the luddites who still don't trust web-site purchasing.....so 20thC.
Wha's 'appenin'. Well Paul Stocker, our new bass player, is 18 tracks into the new set and as soon as we hit 20 we're out and larging it with the new album at as many places as will tolerate us...will keep you all posted with gig dates here, but also check out http://bridgefieldmusic.com and http://myspace.com/bridgefield.
That'll do for today so take care and I hope to see you at some stage soon.
