Catching up with technology...

It's taken me years to realize how the music industry works these days. After sending out demo after demo I find out that record companies don't even listen to them. Finding out what to do is the hardest thing. I've thrown money at getting a website built that I didn't know how to update, so I've spent the last year trying to catch up, learning to burn and print my own CD's, learning to write html and a load of other stuff that interferes with the process of writing the songs. Still apparently that's just the way it is nowadays. Building this profile is hopefully a turning point - the first way I've had of actually marketing the music (other than putting CD's in my local record shop). I'm about to start a serious campaign of requesting reviews and radio plays that will direct music fans to this site. Hopefully overcoming my technophobia will begin to reap its rewards!
