Science vs. Romance
28/10/2008 By
Some years ago one of our most respected music magazines wrote; “for anyone wanting to be in a band, the coolest place to come from is Stourbridge”. Over the past 18 months this tradition has been well and truly carried on by Science vs. Romance. To understand why, just listen to their debut EP “From the back seat” released in March 2008 through ‘In an emergency… dial’ Records. Now Science vs. Romance have just finished a new recording, working with producer Greg Haver, known for his work with Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia and Lost Prophets.
Science vs. Romance are:
Matthew Vale - Vocals/Guitar,
Adam Harper - Bass guitar/Backing Vocals,
Stuart Nicholls - Guitar,
Allan Oakes - Drums.
This young band are passionate about what they do and inspire dedication in their ever expanding fanbase. They have a mature understanding of the business they are in and are not afraid of the hard work ahead. All they want to do is create music that is fresh and original, but will still be relevant in years to come.
Citing amongst their influences Johnny Marr, The Cure, Jimmy Eat World, Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie and of course, Stourbridge’s finest, The Wonderstuff and Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. Science vs. Romance simply want to be in the band that they would most want to listen to if they weren’t already in it.
