No Not Ever

Nephu Huzzband’s fourth single release is a short powerful blast of post punk aggression that stands right in your face, and as quickly as it came, it disappears again leaving you with a slightly uplifted feeling.
Full of dirty bass, thick guitar power chords and saturated vocal tracks, this is a modern punk band who are down to earth and possibly the next best thing since Iggy Pop. No Not Ever is over in one minute and three seconds leaving you with the repeat button on. One listen is just never enough.
No Not Ever is one of the best singles out in a long time. It’s worth leaving the house to get a copy of, especially with the very clever artwork of making a CD look like a vinyl by cutting grooves into the top layer.
Nephu Huzzband – No Not Ever
April 17, 2009 by Dave Adair
Blistering garage rock meets throaty, stammering punk to ransack logical thought and give the paranoia indulgers something to briefly enjoy. Weighing in at under the 70 seconds mark, this 4th single is like a Ricky Hatton jab. It’s a sharp reminder of the potency of this snappy outfit, laying out an intention that there is a lot more to follow.
It is the sort of slightly arty, brazen impact that The Horrors fleetingly displayed. Can Nephu Huzzband take this approach to the next level? They are not giving too much away in regards to answer that question with this fleeting foray, but the promise is there.
