New bassist debuts at Norhern Green
29/08/2006 19:15:56 By Tetchi
Our new bassist's debut, headlining at the Northern Green Gathering went down a storm. After only two weeks in the band, and not even a handful of rehearsals we managed to get a whole tent jumpin' up and down and whistling and shouting and stuff. Looks like Knockengorroch is gonna be bloody belting. More, we say.

Tetchi's bassist has died while on holiday
29/08/2006 19:13:30 By Tetchi
Guy, our bass and guitar player, has died while holidaying with his parents in Cornwall. His kind nature and friendly, open manner attracted many to being a part of his life. His contribution as a bass and guitar player in Tetchi has played a huge part in who we are today and his presence, on and off-stage, will be missed. In the last twelve months we've played at many festivals and clubs with Guy and have spent a lot of time with him relaxing and rehearsing.Guy had just embarked on a new life near Hebden Bridge, and has left an impression which reaches much further than just the band. We'll all miss his sense of humour, his lively, intelligent banter and his music, which was a huge part of his life.

Beat-Herding - recommended
03/07/2006 16:48:31 By Tetchi
Just back from Beat-herder, lightly basted from two and a half days in the sun...and half a day in rain. Well impressed with..er, the line-up, the World Cup being shown, the location, the vast amount of crazy signage, the sound system in the trees, the tunnel, the relatively fragrant portaloos and the list goes on. More of the same next year would be no bad thing.
Oh, and big thanks to whichever god it is that seems to stop the rain for Tetchi gigs (doomed to get p!$$£d on for the rest of the Summer for saying it out loud).
Heard while we were there that Hebden Bridge had flooded, which added an extra zing to proceedings. Proved to be no word of a lie.
