In just over a week the songs have been listened to 400+ times on their myspace page and the band have promoted the CD hard through magazines, fanzines and radio so keep an ear out for them over the coming months.
Launch Night
The CD and Video Launch Night in Leicester was a great success and a packed crowd at the Polar Bear watched the new video by local director Tom Hancock. Live Shows
The band are on an Easter break to write and rest after the CD launch but will be performing new material at local venues in Leicester on Wednesday live music nights at Fubar as well as an opening acoustic slot at the city’s Firebug venue on the 1st May 2008 + 2 recently booked slots in Leicester and Birmingham with Transit promo.

Live Dates
The Authentics have re-scheduled some of their summer dates but are playing plenty of gigs through July, August and September with the highlight being another festival appearance at the New Bands stage at the BULLDOG BASH which is celebrating 20th Anniversary. Also appearing include Pitchshifter, Hundred Reasons, Skindred and Rattlesnake Remedy. In addition, they’ll be supporting The Hedrons in Derby on 2nd August and playing the DNA festival on Bede Park, Leicester on 5th August.

The Authentics End Tour at Glastonbudget

Over half way through their Spark it up Tour, The Authentics have criss-crossed the UK taking in the sights, sounds and smells of rockers from every corner of the country and then some!
With the end in sight, the band will Supercharge themselves up to play two gigs in the same night with a night in Hucknall, Nottingham at the towns famous Seven Stars Venue after the festival appearance at Glastonbudget just hours earlier on Saturday 27th May.
The band will then return home to play their final gig of the tour at Leicester city venue The Shed, their first in Leicester for two months on Sunday 28th May.
Their website has been hugely updated with photos from EVERY night of the tour on the diary page as well as new lyrics for the three songs on their brand new CD.
The band will soon be having their music played on radio in the USA. DJ Kelly Sanders at KRBS 107.1 FM in Oroville, California has requested our CD for his radio show called England Rocks. Listen online here - http://www.radiobirdstreet.org
Although predominantly working on the recording and mixing of the album and organising the subsequent tour, the band have a few summer dates booked in order to get your Authentics fix.
