Dirty Space Disco Has Arrived

The Score are an original five piece band, hailing from the inner city of Manchester. They have crash-landed on the city’s musical scene in the last year with their dynamic and unique sound dubbed as “Dirty Space Disco”, wowing audiences and critics in the North West with their raucous, high-energy shows. After conquering their home city by playing gigs in some small dingy pubs through to the more prestigious venues such as Academy 3, The Score cemented their status as one of the cities leading bands after headlining the “In The City” festival with a blistering set in October of 2007. Since then, The Score have travelled further afield gigging in Leeds, Liverpool and London as well as delivering a show stopping performance to a 1500+ audience at Blackpool Tower back in December 2007. The Score are influenced by a massive range of music, ranging from punk to drum and bass, ska to house, rock to 60’s pop; delivered with slick and effortless style. Whilst the music gets the feet stomping, the lyrical content provides a social commentary on the inner city in which the band have grown. Subjects go from stories of crime and violence, to dysfunctional families and dirty old men. The Score narrate these subjects without glorifying them nor condemning them. The Score bring tales from the dirty side of the city. The Score say what they see and let it be known. It is official: Dirty Space Disco has arrived...
