A while ago I got this nice wav file with some people chatting about the differences between a Mac and a Win system. That inspired me and I wrote this mini-suite in three parts (everything's around 12 mins long)*****Mac pt. I: Loungy vibe with me playing double bass (I was new to it, so intonation is optional, but...), then it happened I had a Syrian friend of mine for dinner and had him play some derbuka on it.*****Mac pt. II:A transitional part, with live rock drums (courtesy of T-drums, my brother) and a lovely mellotron*****Mac pt. This first song I put on displays one side of my musicality...
Above all I'm a (rock) bass player, so I like to just stretch out on my instrument.
Yes...yes...I know... sounds like Rush, but you have to admit you play what you listen to!
Even if it's an instrumental piece, it has some kind of meaning. It's the materialization of my anti S.U.V. personal campaign. Don't buy those big, useless, polluting monsters. Want to be hip and shell out big bucks on cars? Buy a coupè, a spider, a luxury car BUT NON A S.U.V.! They're cumbersome, ugly and dangerous!
The song is in D minor. Everything programmed by ME. the thing that seems a guitar is a bass thru a cheap harmonizer plugin.
